Is Your Life Properly Centered?

I became a Christian when I was a young teenager as the result of hearing the Gospel clearly presented at the West Coast Youth Ranch in Florida. It was a ministry that reached out to teens. It was made clear to me that Salvation was a GIFT from God that could not be earned or purchased. It only needed to be accepted. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior the night of my first visit to Youth Ranch.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 KJV

Centering your life around God means more than just praying, reading the Bible and going to church. It means recognizing the temptations thrown in your path, encouraging and inspiring other Christians, and sharing the Gospel with your family, friends, coworkers and people that you encounter in your life.

“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” Romans 8:5 KJV

How many times a day do you think of God? Is He at the center of your life, or just a lifeline to call on when you need help? Every Christian should be open to God's leading through His Word and people or situations He places in front of you. You cannot save or help everyone that comes your way. You can share the Gospel and use what talents or material things that God has given to you to reach as many as possible.
